Characteristics
Handle and blade made from a whole block, knapped, mostly with a punch
The blade can be polished before flaking, depending on the dagger type
Pressure flaking and punch knapping exclusively made with copper tips
These daggers were massively produced 4.000 years in Northern Europe.
It is believed that they were copycats of the first metal daggers, and that the "stitches" would be a reminder of the molding traces.
The fabulous type IV daggers, with a fish tail and triangular section handle are, without any doubt, the most complex tool ever knapped by man.
