Less accessible that the previous book, but as usefull for the beginner knapper, this book shows everything you have to know for knapping hard stones: knapping techniques, tools, drawing conventions: tons of information.
As any typology book, this one is a reference for any knapper wishing to make archaeologically exact tools.
As far as we know, this one is the only book that really EXPLAINS, with didactic motivation, the ropes of flintknapping. Everything is detailled: percussion strength, reducing strategies, angles, platforms. The book that as inspired a whole generation of flintknappers in northern America.
The characteristics of the 6 daggers types and their sub-types are clearly detailled with lots of drawings and originals pictures.
The operating chain of type III and mythical type IV daggers is also present, clearly explained by one of the best: DC Waldorf.
