An operating chain (in french "chaine operatoire"), is as stated by André Leroi-Gourhan, the succession of steps allowing to bring to light all the sequences of manufacturing of an archaeological object.
In other words, what to do and what techniques to use in order to make a specific tool.
This succession of technical gestures derives from the experiment, which can, or not be supported by the study of the same object at various stages of its manufacturing.
Operating chains presented here have no scientific claim. They only aim at making an objet with the same tools as the men before us and the the techniques which, when not archaeologically proven, seem the most appropriate to us.
And since Cayoo, the webmaster is the exact opposite of an archaeologist, this is especially true for his demos.
